Mohalla Nagiananwala ,Bhera, district Sargodha

A small house of Gurdas Ram Khanna is located in mohalla Nagianwala, Bhera, district Sargodha. It was constructed in 1923, as per the plaque on the house. At the time of partition in 1947, it was allotted to Mr Khalil Ahmed ( father of Headmaster Ali Hassan, retired ), and his two brothers.

Mohalla Nagianwala is a small mohalla , located inside the Circular Road. On the north it, mohalla Chitty Pully, in the northwest, mohalla Chibberanwala, in the west mohalla Gandianwala, in the southwest mohalla Dhona da Ghara, in the south mohalla Gondiawala and Hattaranwala, in the east Chota Sethianwala and northeast, mohalla Khannawala.

Headmaster Ali Hassan Sahib told me after the Partition relatives of Gurdas Ram visited their ancestors’ house in mohalla Nagianwala. They were excited, touched and grieved to see the house. They told Ali Sahib they have a grocery shop in Jhandanwala Bazaar, Purani Delhi – named Bhera.

I would request Ali Hassan Sahib to share more information about the allotted house and its owners. A few pictures of Gurdas Ram Khanna’s house and mohalla Nagianwala are shared below :
