A group of Punjab University, Lahore students led by Dr. Muhammad Hameed, Chairman of the Department of Archaeology, visited Bhera on 30 April 2024, on an educational trip.

A group of Punjab University students led by Dr. Muhammad Hameed, Chairman of the Department of Archaeology, visited Bhera on 30 April 2024, on an educational trip. The visit aimed to study and highlight the archaeological, historical, and cultural heritage of Bhera. Dr. Hameed emphasized the need to preserve the archaeological and cultural history of Bhera, he assured his support in this regard. It was proposed that tourism can be promoted by displaying the arts and crafts, specialities and pictures of Bhera at Bhera Rest Area, close to Bhera Interchange. It will attract the tourists to visit Bhere. The group met Mr Shaheen Farooqi, President of Bhera Press Club and Khawaja Zahid Naseem, Advocate and chairman of Nahida Mehboob Elahi Foundation. Nasrullah Khan Abbasi Barodi, from Bhawal and Muhammad Imran Qasim, assisted the group in visiting significant places in Bhera. A few pictures of the visit are shared. Zahid Mumtaz
