Hafiz Fazal Ellahi was born in mohalla Hakeemawala , Bhera. He was Imam of masjid Taliwali , in main bazaar, Bhera . He made wooden combs in a small shop adjacent to it . It is commendable that he in his life time coached and produced many Hafiz – e – Korans , and at the same time earned his livelihood with honour, dignity and the skill he had acquired through sheer hard work .
According to Sahibzada Ibrar Ahmed Bugvi , the custodian and Kahtib of Sher Shah Suri Jama Majid( AD 1540 ), Bhera : Hafiz Fazal Ellahi was so brilliant and clear headed ; even while working , he could correct four to five of his students simultaneously . Hafiz Sahib passed away on 23 January 1992 , aged 80 . He was laid to rest at Bawa Shah Latif graveyard . May Allah Almighty bless his soul ! Ameen.

حافظ فضل الہٰی صاحب میرے استاد تھے۔مسجد ٹاہلی والی کے امام رہے اور اسی مسجد کی نیچے بنائی گئی بہت چھوٹی سی دکانوں میں سے ایک میں لکڑی کی کنگھیاں بنا کر رزق حلال کمانے کے ساتھ بھیرہ کے اس خوب صورت فن کو زندہ رکھا ۔ حافظ صاحب اور گل نام کا کاری گر بھیرہ میں اس فن کے آخری استاد تھے۔ حافظ صاحب کنگھیاں بنانے کے ساتھ ساتھ بیک وقت کئی حفاظ صاحبان سے بیک وقت مختلف پاروں کی تلاوت سن رہے ہوتے تھے۔ جو بہت ہی غیرمعمولی بات ہے۔ حافظ صاحب بڑے اجل اور کام یاب حافظ استاد تھے۔دار العلوم عزیز یہ بگویہ بھیرہ میں کچھ عرصہ معلم رہے۔ مدرسہ مذکورہ کے کسی استاد کی ہنگامی چھٹی پر اعزازی ڈیوٹی بھی دیتے تھے۔سادہ مزاج ،کم گو ،اور مخلص انسان تھے۔سفید پوشی میں اپنا وقار اور عزت قائم رکھتے تھے کسی سے کوئی لالچ اور طمع نہ تھا۔بھیرہ کے محلہ حکیماں والا میں رہتے تھے۔اللہ رب الکریم ان کی مغفرت فرمائے آمین
