RARE BOOKS DONATED TO NATIONAL ARCHIVES, ISLAMABAD BY MUFTI FAMILY OF BHERA

Rare books were ٘ donated to National Archives , Federal Secretariat, N Block, Islamabad by the Mufti family of Bhera. These are highly valuable books , preserved as “Mufti Collection” . This collection has also about 450 years old, rare manuscripts of Arabic and Persian.

People of Bhera should be proud of Mufti Fazal – e – Azim , Mufti Fazal – e – Jalil and Mufti Utafullah ( retired Federal Secretary Ministery of Religious Affairs) for valuable donation to the national archives.

These books are available for consultation by researchers . One research book of 1000 pages was published from Iran , related to Persian manuscripts of this collection.This internationally acclaimed work was done by Dr.Arif Naushai Sahib. A renowned scholar of Persian.

There is name of Mufti Fazal – e -Azim , in the audio article, produced by Natioal Archives , Islamabad Mufti Fazal – e – Azim Collection.

Note : In the Gazetteer of Shahpur District – 1887 ( Town of Bhera , page 235).It is mentioned , ” There is a printing press here at which a weekly vernacular newspaper, the ” Dost – i – Hind ” is printed .”

Prof Dr Bilal Sohail , from Bhera , presently severing as principal F.G. Quaid – e – Azam Degree College, Chaklala , Rawalpindi has given the following information and explaination regarding the printing press in Bhera in the 19th century .

“دوستِ ہند ” نامی یہ اخبار بھیرہ سے تقسیم ہوتا تھا ، مگر اس کی پرنٹنگ Lipson Press Lahore سے کرائی جاتی تھی۔ اسی طرح بھیرہ سے اُس زمانے میں ایک پریس ” مفتاح الاسرار ” نام کابھی تھا۔ جو بھیرہ کے مشہور مفتی خاندان کی ملکیت تھا۔ اس کی چھپائی کے نمونے نیشنل آرکائیوز اسلام آباد کے مفتی کلیکشن میں دیکھے جا سکتے ہیں۔ محترم پروفیسر علامہ نذیر صاحب نے درست فرمایا ہے۔ قدیم طباعت کے کئی نمونے خصوصََا “مفتاح الاسرار ” کے نام سے چھپنے والی مطبوعات میں نے بھی مفتی صاحبان کے کتب خانے میں دیکھی ہیں۔ ایک بہت اہم فارسی شاعر غنیمت کُنجاہی کی ایک نثری تخلیق “گل و نرگس ” بھی مفتی صاحبان کے اسی پریس سے 1865ء میں چھپی تھی۔ جسے مولوی محمّد بخش اور محمّد عالم دین کی فرمایش پر مفتی الٰہی بخش نے “مفتاح الاسرار ” پریس بھیرہ سے شائع کیا تھا۔ مرزا غالب نے اپنے ایک خط میں اس کتاب کے بھیرہ سے شائع ہونے کا ذکر کیا ہے۔ اِس مطبوعہ کتاب کا واحد معلومہ نسخہ مسلم یونی ورسٹی علی گڑھ کے فارسی ذخیرے میں
موجود ہے
