World Heritage Day – Celebrated in Bhera by boys and girls of Iqra School. 18 April 2026
The boys and girls of Iqra School celebrated World Heritage Day in Bhera with great enthusiasm. The initiative was taken by Sahibzada Abrar Ahmed Bugvi and organised through the kind courtesy of Majlis Hizbul Ansar (Registered), Jama Masjid Bugvia, Bhera, District Sargodha.
The students toured the historic town of Bhera and explored its rich heritage. They visited the old darwazas (dating back to 1865), historic buildings/ mahris, the iconic Sher Shah Suri Jama Mosque (1540 AD), the Information Centre, and Bugvia Library, Bhera.
This activity aimed to educate the younger generation about Bhera’s history, heritage, and legacy. It is hoped that in the coming years, similar initiatives will be undertaken by other schools and colleges in Bhera.
The present Government of Punjab is taking a special interest in the restoration of the historic town of Bhera. In this regard, work is being carried out by the Archaeology Department of Punjab. The project is expected to be completed by June 2027. It is hoped that, after completion, Bhera will attract more tourists, bringing prosperity to the local community.

آج “ورلڈ ہیریٹیج ڈے” کے موقع پر اقرا سکول بھیرہ کے طلبہ و طالبات نے اپنے شہر کے تاریخی ورثے کو قریب سے دیکھنے کے لیے ایک خصوصی دورہ کیا۔ بچوں نے بھیرہ کی قدیم اور عظیم الشان جامع مسجد بگویہ، تاریخی بگویہ لائبریری, بگویہ میوزیم اور شہر کے قدیم دروازوں کا دورہ کیا۔
اس دورے کا مقصد بچوں کو اپنی شاندار اسلامی تاریخ اور اسلاف کی چھوڑی ہوئی نشانیوں سے روشناس کروانا تھا۔ بچوں نے ان مقامات کی طرزِ تعمیر کو نہ صرف دلچسپی سے دیکھا بلکہ ہماری تاریخ کے ان انمول اثاثوں کی اہمیت کو بھی سراہا۔
آئیں ہم سب مل کر اپنے اس تاریخی ورثے کی حفاظت کا عہد
کریں تاکہ ہماری آنے والی نسلیں بھی اپنی جڑوں سے جڑی رہیں۔
